The SteelSeries Aerox 3 and Aerox 3 wireless gaming mouse devices have been launched in the US. The Danish gaming peripherals manufacturer claims that it is the first pair of gaming mouse devices that have received an IP54 rating for protection from dust, water and oil. The interesting thing is that both of them have an open mesh design, which means that both are in the outer cover. SteelSeries says that the AquaBarrier technology protects the devices’ interiors. They also have a Trumo core sensor.
Aerox 3 price, availability
Aerox 3 Wireless Mouse cost $ 100 (approx. Rs. 7,500) and the Aerox 3 can be a wired mouse Bought Priced at $ 60 (approx. Rs. 4,500). Both of these will be available in the US on 10 November. When we investigated, SteelSeries official website said that it does not currently ship the product to India. There is no information about its India launch.
Aerox 3 specifications
The SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Mouse weighs 66 grams and the company claims that the Aerox 3 Wired weighs less than 57 grams. As mentioned, both have open mesh designs – they have holes in the outer cover. Mice have deployed AquaBarrier technology that protects internal circuitry from almost all types of environmental damage. Essentially, Aerox is “the first gaming mouse to receive an IP54 rating for water resistance and protection from dust, dirt, oil, fur and more.”
Both Aerox 3 mice are equipped with TrueMove Core sensors, developed by SteelSeries with optical sensor manufacturer PixArt. The wireless version can connect to devices over a 2.4GHz wireless USB or Bluetooth connection. The company claims that the mouse will run over 200 hours on Bluetooth and over 80 hours on a 2.4GHz connection. The Aerox 3 Wireless Mouse comes with a USB Type C port for fast charging, and SteelSeries claims that 15 minutes of charging provides more than 40 hours of battery life.
